Privacy Policy

Noteweave · Last updated 5 August 2026

Noteweave collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app makes no network connections at all.

What stays on your device

Everything. Notes, recordings, captured text and screenshots are stored only on the device you use, in the app's private storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere, and the developer has no way to see it.

Reading the screen

When you start a capture, Noteweave reads the text shown on screen so it can save the captions you are watching. This happens entirely on the device, and only while a capture that you started is running. Images of your screen are not stored, beyond a single small still kept locally so you can choose which part of the screen to read.

Recording audio

When you record, audio is written to the device's private storage and transcribed there. Speech recognition runs on the device. The recording is deleted once it has been turned into text.

Permissions

Noteweave asks for the microphone only to record audio you have chosen to record, and for speech recognition to turn that audio into text on the device. Screen recording is started by you through the system's own control, and stops when you stop it.

Children

Noteweave collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date.
